Check you qualify first

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant experience in a senior finance leadership position
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business
• Administration, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is highly advantageous
• Strong experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, tax, and statutory reporting
• Proven experience partnering with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights

Who the employer is

CloserHire is partnering with a fast-growing international technology company within the sports betting and iGaming industry to recruit an experienced Finance Director for their operations in Sofia, Bulgaria. This senior leadership position will take ownership of the company’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, controls, and commercial finance activities. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making while ensuring robust governance and scalable financial

The work

The role centres on lead the company’s overall finance function and financial strategy, partner with the executive leadership team on strategic planning and key business decisions, own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis, prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic objectives, and develop financial models and provide commercial analysis to support growth initiatives.
